Rupagad Khola HP is located in Majphal and Dunai VDCs in Dolpa district of Mid-Western Development Region. The proposed headwork site is approximately 5 km South-East of Juphal Airport. The proposed intake site of the project lies in Majphal and Dunai VDC at an elevation of 2360m amsl. The powerhouse is located in Dunai VDC at right bank of Rupa Gad Khola and lies at an elevation 2070m amsl. The project is basically a run-of-river type scheme having capacity of 9.14MW. The headrace pipe alignment is of length 6.2 km. Near the powerhouse area the penstock alignment is passes through the moderate to steeply sloping area. The tailrace is conceived to be built on the bank side of Bheri River.
Key Features of the project
The main objective of the consulting service is to conduct feasibility study & IEE study of the Hydropower Projects, prepare study report covering technical, financial, socio-economic, institutional, environmental and all other relevant aspects of project development including examine technical, financial, economic and environmental viability of the project. In order to meet targeted objective, the consultant shall carryout necessary field survey and investigation, prepare design, drawing and cost estimate, conduct environmental study. The IEE study should constitute an integral part of the feasibility Study in conformity with the environmental legislation of Nepal.
