The main objective of the project is to improve the living standard, increase employment and productivity while reducing dependency on traditional energy and attain sustainable development through the integration of alternative energies, thus, integrating socio-economic activities among rural people of Nepal. As the project is envisaged to
1) Contribute to Investment Subsidies for Institutional Solar PV Systems in Rural Areas in Nepal, and
2) Strengthening of quality assurance in the sector by promoting sustainable battery management systems.
As the contribution to investment subsidies for institutional subsidies for institutional solar PV systems in rural areas in Nepal will be implemented in 3 phases, namely; 1) Detailed Design Phase, 2) Initial Implementation Phase, and 3) Roll-Out Phase. It is noted that the detailed design phase will incorporate demand & resource assessment, lending to the proposal of standardized system configuration for types of end users, assessment of implementation processes, auditing of tender & procurement, checking implementation quality, and operation & maintenance.
Actual services provided by the firm within the assignment:
The aim of the project is to implement PV power and PV pumping systems in the rural areas of Nepal. It will be initiated through demand and resource assessment and elaboration of standardized plants and payment scheme. After assessment of implementation process, emphasis would be given to audit, tendering and procurement.
The proposed project comprises four parts. The services provided in each part consists as follows:-
