A power crisis mitigation plan of Nepal Government (GoN) includes the construction of 29 numbers of new 132/220/400 kV transmission lines with total line length of 2,255 km. In this relation, amongst others, a number of power plants are being developed in Trishuli area by NEA as well as Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
The consultant was supposed to support NEA in Feasibility study for the construction measure of Trishuli 3B Hub 220/132 KV substation in Trishuli area and transferring the power via Trishuli-Chilime 220 KV Transmission line (length of 26.5 KM) upto Chilime 220/132 KV substation.
In addition to this, feasibility study for rural electrification at 33 kV voltage level with length of 24.5 km and 33/11 kV substation was also conducted as neighboring support for local communities.
The consultant had provided the feasibility study giving its justification to NEA for the project which aimed at providing necessary infrastructure to evacuate power from hydro-generation potential in the Trishuli area by expanding 220/132 KV Transmission system.
