Project Completion Report for the Third Livestock Development Project

TLDP Overview:

Third Livestock Development Project (TLDP) is a people-cantered project, which uses a set of concepts and a methodological framework referred to as “The Systems Learning Approach (SLA)”. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) assists the project. TLDP programmes have been implemented in 19 districts of Western (12 districts), Mid-Western (3 districts) and Far-Western (4 districts) regions of Nepal. IN addition, seven districts of the Central Region (Kathmandu Valley districts, Chitwan, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Kavre, Dhading, and Nuwakot) receive support for probate sector development of agro-processing and marketing activities. The project period is seven years (July 1997 – July 2004)

TLDP-Project Completion Report:

TLDP has successfully completed its programme and, in order to correctly understand the implemented programmes and its outputs, outcomes, and issues/ lessons-learned from the project a comprehensive Project Completion Report (PCR) is needed to be prepared.

Objectives:

The main objective of PCR us to establish a comprehensive document of the project’s programme, activities and wherever possible, strengths, weaknesses, and challenges for the forthcoming programmes of DLS.

The report will also provide guidance to ADB for better understanding of needs, demands, capacities, and constraints of project while designing projects, country strategy, and poverty reduction interventions.

Overall Services provided by firm:

Main services provided: Project management, preparing the project completion report including project implementation, initial operation, and evaluation of ADB’s performance. TMS provided the key expertise for preparing the PCR. In addition, TMS also provided logistic and project management/ administrative support services for the completion of the project.
