The project will support Nepal in the development of the NHN expansion plan, preparation of the PIP for 2023-2033, and capacity building of the DOR on transport planning.

The scope of work is

1. Review all the relevant studies carried out in the past and extract any information that may be used for the present study.

2. Generate the total length of an all-weather national grid of road networks comprising national and provincial highways, and local roads to allow easy accessibility to means of transportation

3. Collect relevant information and conduct a holistic review of the development plan of other transport

4. Conduct traffic forecasts and network analysis,

5. Review, Collect, and update the following technical data in the format required by the HDM-4 model for the NHN

6. Review inventory procedures and the highway management information system established by DoR.

7. Conduct training for at least 15 DOR ENGINEERS IN HDM- 4

8. Identify and propose the necessary survey required for delivering the outputs of TA after reviewing data provided by the DOR.
