Detailed Survey, Design, Cost Estimate of Katunje – Banakhu Road - SDC

The Detailed Survey, Design and Cost Estimate of Laskot Budhakhani Bankhu District Road of length 15.77 km under the guidelines of the TOR issued by DRSP. The major tasks performed were:

A. Survey work:

  1. Best fit Alignment establishment;
  2. Horizontal Alignment Survey;
  3. Vertical Alignment Survey;
  4. Benchmark and Reference Points establishment;
  5. Cross Section Parameters;
  6. Hydrological survey for designing cross drains and side drains;
  7. Geological survey for designing a safe and stable road;
  8. Socio economic survey for cost benefit analysis;
  9. Material survey;

B. Design and Drawing Preparation:

  1. Design of horizontal and vertical alignments;
  2. Design of cross sections, cross drainage and side drainage structures;
  3. Design of retaining structures.

C. Quantity and cost estimates preparation:

  1. The quantity of the works to be done as well as total labor and material was calculated;
  2. Cost of the overall project was carried out using standard DoLIDAR Norms and district rates.

Overall Services provided:

The major services provided by the firm were as follows:

(i)     Detailed Survey and field investigation of 15.77 km of rural road alignment;

(ii)    Design and Drawing Preparation using Rajmarg II Road Design Software;

(iii)   Quantity and Cost Estimate Preparation according to the norms issued by DoLIDAR.
