The Lamosangu-Tamakoshi-Jiri Road is a feeder road of about 110 Km in length, with single lane blacktopped standard. This road is important for commercial, religious and tourism activities of the region and serves as access for the agricultural and dairy products to the national markets as well as Capital market. This road serves the Upper Tamakoshi Hydroelectric(HE) Project and many more other HE Projects of Dolkha, Ramechhap and Solukhumbu district which enhanced socio-economic condition of the local people as well as national economy condition. It is expected that the upgrading, improvement of the road will reduce people’s health hazards and enhance their quality of life. The objective of the consultancy services is to provide complete construction supervision/ contract administration of the road Upgrading/Improvement works including post construction supervision during the defects liability period of 55 km of Lamosangu-Tamakoshi-Jiri Road (Lamosangu-Charikot Section).

Overall Services provided:

The scope of services will include, but not limited to, carrying out the following activities:

A.   Construction Supervision

1. Socio economic base line survey at the beginning of the commencement.
2. Supervision of construction to ensure the quality as per the specification.
3. Supervision of routine maintenance work during construction period.
4. Carry out survey works to provide adequate control points.
5. Approving the contractors work program, method statement for quality assurance (QAP) and material source.
6. Ensure the suitability/accuracy of design, quality construction and transparent project execution.
7. Monitor and evaluate the EMAP implementation.

B.   Post Construction Supervision/Defects Liability Period

1. Ensure the efficiency of the routine maintenance work during defect liability period.
2. Ensure that all the works are completed without any flaws and defects and supervise for any repairs and reconstructions to be made.
3. Supervision of routine maintenance work during Defects Liability Period.

C.   Road Safety Measures

1. Prepare and recommend road safety guidelines, road safety management system, regulatory frameworks and safety measures.
2. Prepare and monitor the road safety management system

D.   Technology Transfer

1. Advice suitable plan and policy for technology transfer and reporting
